The Bittersweet Ski Trails are accessible from several starting points, the system includes approximately 20 km of classic and 14 km of skating trails that traverse prairie, woodland and river forest. The project consists of a 2.5 km pathway in Treherne and a 1.5 km nature trail in the Boyne Valley on the east side of Treherne between highway No. 2 and the CPR line. The urban trail utilizes existing sidewalks while the nature trail is part grass and part covered with crushed stone. Two 80 ft bridges, one covered, cross the Boyne River. 

Bowling & Billiards

The Treherne Delahunt Golf Course is a public 9 hole golf course. The greens are maintained in excellent shape and green fees are affordable. Carts and clubs are available for rent. To book a tee time, visit trehernegolf.com/ or phone 204-723-2502.

Treherne Aquatic Centre

Treherne Aquatic Centre is situated near the Cottonwood Campground. The new (2006) Junior Olympic size heated pool, with beach front entry, lazy river and mushroom sprinkler are open for public swimming afternoons and evenings during the summer months. Pinkerton Lake Trail

Located South of Treherne down Provincial Road # 242,  the Pinkerton Lake Trail is a great place to enjoy nature.    This  3.2-km trail is great for hiking, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.  It is generally considered an easy route and takes approximately 35 minutes to complete.  

Cottonwood Park

Nestled in the Cottonwood Campground in Treherne is a great play area for children with ample of shade and restrooms on site available for use from Spring through to Fall.    There is also another great play space located at the Treherne Elementary School to enjoy while school is out.   

Little Library

A little library has been installed at Treherne’s Central Park to encourage people of all ages to read and share in a community of users.  The little library runs on the principle of “take a book – share a book”. People are encouraged to read one of the books and leave a favourite of their own for someone else to enjoy!
