Given the public nature of council and committee meetings, an individual writing to council or the administration of a municipality should expect that the correspondence, including his/her personal information (name and address), might be disclosed at a council meeting. This also means that if a copy of the correspondence is requested by a third party, the correspondence including the personal information may be disclosed.
