Bell School 1986
Bell School
The Mezieres School District was established in March 1919, only to be renamed Bell School District just one year later in 1920. The district and school were named after Donald Bell, a member of the local community. Bell School taught students from Grades 1 through 8 in person, while Grades 9 and 10 were taught remotely. The school closed its doors in 1964. By the following year, the Bell School District was dissolved and replaced by the Mountain School Division. On August 19, 2000, a monument was placed at the former site of Bell School to remember the impact it had on the community.
